In several cities across Venezuela, informal trade has appropriated public spaces, thus altering their visual and social settings. A typical case that illustrates the phenomenon are the popular spots where shaded tables offering mobile phone rental are set up. Colorful umbrellas serve as hallmarks advertising this informal trade.
